The University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) is a leadership conference in social development for young leaders hosted by Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom. The 10th USLS 2019 will take place at the Istana Budaya or also known as the Palace of Culture in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia during 1–7 August 2019.

Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom recognises the importance of nurturing creative thinkers and in grooming aspiring leaders. The Symposium is creatively planned to help participants discover their hidden potential as well as actively engages them in learning experiences beyond the conference rooms. It aims to instil a sense of social responsibility as well as to cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among the emerging world leaders.

Around 900 young leaders from all over the world are expected to participate in the event which focuses on developing leaders to bring social change. Participants will learn what it means to give back to the community and be challenged to respond to the needs of the marginalized with works of kindness and unconditional service. Emerging world leaders will have the opportunity to broaden their professional network and understanding of world affairs. They will be motivated to use their knowledge and leadership skills to impact the communities in need.

Held annually in the Asia Pacific region since 2010, more than 7,000 young leaders from more than 100 countries have undergone this life-changing experience. Upon completion of this one-week program, many delegates have been equipped with new vision and passion to effect changes and to transform lives in their communities.
